Last Dragon Life Quote

"The secret awaits eyes unclouded by ambition. Those who are bound by desire, see only that which can be held in their hands." - Bruce Leroy, Last Dragon

Wise Words of Don Cheadle

"When people come up to me and they say what advice can you give me about being an actor in the business I tell 'em don't do it! If you can do anything else... do it. And if you can be dissuaded by me telling you that... then you shouldn't be doing this anyway. So if you really want to go after it (anyway) know that the chances of you making it are very very poor!" - Don Cheadle

Feel Famous... lol .. not really though

BMI presented Music 101- Building the Beat workshop with producer Zaytoven at Patchwerk Recording Studios on Tuesday, March 23. 15 producers were selected from over 200 submissions to be a part of the workshop in which Zaytoven discussed his climb in the music business, his production process and the inspiration behind several of his records. Out of the 15 producers at the workshop, the one with the most complete sound and best beat was chosen to go to dinner with Zaytoven and BMI’s Atlanta staff. Pictured at the workshop are BMI’s Byron Wright and Catherine Brewton, Zaytoven, winning producer Mike Best, BMI’s David Claassen, and Patchwerk Recording Studios’ Kervins Chauvet.

A New Era In Human History Indeed.

All I can say is WOW! Wonder why I'm JUST finding out about this... hmmm...  I guess people can quit saying "sky's the limit" now. 200,000 for a flight to space... STEEP! I wonder if they do "buddy passes" LOL....

No but really, whenever we break a new barrier as human beings a slew of new inventions, ideas, and even more extraordinary things spawn from those discoveries. It's going to be interesting to see what comes out of this....

The "19 Es" of Excellence by Tom Peters

The "19 Es" of Excellence:

Enthusiasm. (Be an irresistible force of nature!)

Energy. (Be fire! Light fires!)

Exuberance. (Vibrate—cause earthquakes!)

Execution. (Do it! Now! Get it done! Barriers are baloney! Excuses are for wimps! Accountability is gospel! Adhere to the Bill Parcells doctrine: "Blame nobody! Expect nothing! Do something!")

Empowerment. (Respect and appreciation rule! Always ask, "What do you think?" Then listen! Then let go and liberate! Then celebrate!)

Edginess. (Perpetually dancing at the frontier, and a little or a lot beyond.)

Enraged. (Determined to challenge & change the status quo!)

Engaged. (Addicted to MBWA/Managing By Wandering Around. In touch. Always.)

Electronic. (Partners with the world 60/60/24/7 via electronic community building and entanglement of every sort. Crowdsourcing rules!)

Encompassing. (Relentlessly pursue diverse opinions—the more diversity the merrier! Diversity per se "works"!)

Emotion. (The alpha. The omega. The essence of leadership. The essence of sales. The essence of marketing. The essence. Period. Acknowledge it.)

Empathy. (Connect, connect, connect with others' reality and aspirations! "Walk in the other person's shoes"—until the soles have holes!)

Experience. (Life is theater! Make every activity-contact memorable! Standard: "Insanely Great"/Steve Jobs; "Radically Thrilling"/BMW.)

Eliminate. (Keep it simple!)

Errorprone. (Ready! Fire! Aim! Try a lot of stuff and make a lot of booboos and then try some more stuff and make some more booboos—all of it at the speed of light!)

Evenhanded. (Straight as an arrow! Fair to a fault! Honest as Abe!)

Expectations. (Michelangelo: "The greatest danger for most of us is not that our aim is too high and we miss it, but that it is too low and we reach it." Amen!)

Eudaimonia. (Pursue the highest of human moral purpose—the core of Aristotle's philosophy. Be of service. Always.)

Excellence. (The only standard! Never an exception! Start now! No excuses! If not Excellence, what? If not Excellence now, when?)

The Value of Hard Work

This speech inspired me so much. I mean, I was sitting on the couch like "Damn" - I HAVE to figure this thing out! My heart felt like it was going to pump itself right outa my chest! My desire to want to be GREAT, to be SOMEBODY, to be an inspiration... *I can't even really put it into words!* I want to have a voice - I want to show my family and friends another side of life - I want to show them it's REAL! By proving it in my own life, I'll show them it's "really" possible and not just some figment of luck or chance - it's real. And by achieving such heights in my own life - I think it'll hit home. Because you know where I came from, THEY know where I came from - FIRST HAND! I gotta make it happen... When people like "Diddy" say things like "if I could do it, you could do it" - I take them to heart - I take them literally - I take their words seriously - AND I BELIEVE IT! Let's GOOOOOO!
